Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

Suggestion
I actually looked at a PCNA Cayman that had the silver seat backs and a 911 that had the leather seatbacks and I found the aluminum look took away from the clean look of the seats.
Leading evidence: 'Clean look of the seats' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean look of the seats' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

At 280 pages it can take awhile to read. I have read the entire thing and it is a good way to pass the wait.
My main complaint is they have umpteen pages about stuff like airbags - goes on and on - but very little about other stuff I'd like to know more about. For example there is absolutely no true illustration of the engine compartment or how to remove the covering of that section.
Russ, here's the complete list:
Required Options:
1) Artic Silver Exterior
1a) Remove Model Designation
2) Auto Climate Control
3) Sport Chrono
4) Preferred Package Plus Tip
OR (because I'm not sure I need the testical-toasters, self-dim/rain-senors and CD Changer)
4a) Tiptronic S
4b) Power Seat Package
4c) Bi-Xenon
4d) Black Floor Mats
4e) Color Wheel crests
4f) Bose Sound
5) Leather Steering Wheel (either sport or multi-function if I get PCM)
Likely options:
1) Full Leather (I still need to see exactly what that means. I really want the seat backs to match)
2) Supple Leather if I get the Full leather (Again, I really need to see this in person if possible)
3) Park Assist
If my company's stock price is up the day I place the order (in which case I would sell some):
1) PCM w/Extended Nav
2) I would order the full Preferred Package Plus Tip

Nice specs! The only one I suggest a second or third look at is the supple leather. While it really adds a luxury look I had it on my 993 and found it very slippery when autocrossing. You also may not want the luxury look in a Cayman?
Hsjb,
One thing to consider, covering the backs of the seats in leather is very expensive, and in this car, no one will ever see them... they back right up to the hump for the engine... and SF is correct, the supple leather makes you slide around in the seat like you're sitting on oil...

As to the supple leather, I'd like to see what it looks like in person. I'm not going to be racing this car, so if it's a little slippery, I don't necessarily mind.

hsjb,
The supple leather can look very nice, and if you're not going to compete in the car, shouldn't be a problem... I think the supple look can look different depending on the color... ask the dealer to show you some 911s or Boxsters wiht that option with different colors. For me, the darker colors tend to hide the supple effect.
I see you're from Cupertino... I'm in Palo Alto... which dealer are you talking with, if you don't mind my asking?

So far, I am planning on buying from Stevens Creek. I had some bad experiences with Carlsen Porsche-Audi previously. I'd also like to stay close to home as far as service.
It's not just the seat back. It's the side too. If you look at p. 44 of the Product Information Guide (p14 of Chapter 5-8 pdf file) you can see the difference. The aluminium pieces on the side, in my opinion, detract from the seats when you open the door and look at the seats.
Of course, I need to make sure that the full leather option gives you full leather on the seat sides and backs otherwise, I may not get it.
All the sport seat options have the metal stuff on the back and sides from what I can tell, but the regular and powerseats look like they have the leather on the sides, except for where the side/thorax airbag fits into the side of the seat. I'm not sure what that cover material is, but I'll bet it's not leather, and probably not part of the full leather package. As part of the exclusive options, they'll cover anything , and I mean anything, from the fusebox cover to the A/c vent slats in leather... for a price, of course. Look at the odering guide and you'll see some of the things they offer to cover in leather. This stuff will also lengthen the production time of your car, obviously. Talk to your dealer... all the seats are the same on all the models, you should be able to go to the dealer and look through the cars on the lot to see what they all look like, they should have 911s there with the full leather option to look at.
