Did anybody here end up buying the slightly used '03 SY C4S from Niello Porsche?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi,
Just sold my '99 C2 last weekend and I'm missing it dearly! Sold the car because I want to eventually upgrade to a turbo or 4S. Anyways, was just surfing the net and fell in love with a sightly used speed yellow '03 C4S with 5K miles and a whole lot of options! Really beautiful car...check it out at <a href="http://porsche.niello.com/cgi/details/2003030714223046" target="_blank">http://porsche.niello.com/cgi/details/2003030714223046</a>
Car belongs to the general manager there and had a original sticker of $97K. What do you think is a good price to pay for this? They are asking $85K which I think is a little too high since you can get a brand new one with less options for that much. Also, since it is the GM's car, I assume that he paid less than MSRP for it. So what do you guys think is a good price to pay for it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
It is easy to speak when we are not the ones who might be actually paying, but your assesment is right. $85K is the price of a "nicely" optioned C4S with the latest discounts ranging between $4K to 7K in some instances.
I am also looking for potentially a used C4S to save some money. If I were you (I do not like SY color), I would try to get it somewhere within $76K to 80K but that would probably be tops.
Honestly, no. Most of them have not come off leases, not many examples. So, I am leaning a lot more on a new one at this time, but going to keep monitoring the market for another month, may be two.
Good luck to you as well
Did anybody here end up buying the slightly used '03 SY C4S from Niello Porsche? If so, do you mind sharing what you paid? I see that it's not on their inventory list anymore. I bought my old 993 and current 996 from Niello and am considering trading in my '99 C2 for a C4S. What kind of discount can we expect to get on a new C4S these days? Is $10K out of the question? Are the discounts greater for Cabs? Thanks.
Hi John,
Funny you should mention that....I did end up buying the SY 4S from Niello. It was a sightly used '03 and had an original MSRP of $97K. I got them down to $77K. Car had 5K miles on it.
I hightly doubt that you can get $10K off sticker on a new one. $10K is approx. the dealer markup which means they wouldnt be making any money on the car. I think a good deal would be 5K off sticker on a 4S. Not too sure about the cabs but I think you can probably work them more on that. They seem to have a lot in stock.
Santicua,
Firstly, congratulation on your purchase. Wow, you got $20K off MSRP on a 03 C4S with only 5K miles. Sounds like a great deal! The car must be heavily optioned at $97K sticker. I checked their inventory and they don't have any new C4S in stock and only one used one but it's a Tip. Most of their new C4S on the way are around $85K sticker. Did you buy from Gus? I bought my last two Porsches from him and yesterday he offered me $2500 discount over the phone on a new C4S and offered me $40K for my '99 C2 as trade. I think I can do much better than that. Or I may just decide to keep my '99 and wait for the 997 in 2005. Have fun in your new car!
FYI, I am selling my practically brand new '03 C4S with 2,200 miles to make room for my GT3 due later this summer....I hope. This is the only reason I am selling. There is a detailed ad in the classifieds for anyone interested. Ad # 2083. Price is negotiable.
John
I remember looking at Niello's pictures of the SY C4S while I was waiting for my new C2...almost the same car but a C4S. Nice!!

NICE! Sounds like you almost have the same car except mine has the black int. I love the sport seats with the painted backs but I miss the right mirror swivel function when you are in reverse. Apparantly, you dont have that fuction when you dont have memory seats.
