Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

26 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

PCNA WILL START SHIPPING THE CARS OUT OF THE PORTS AND TO THE DEALERS ON JANUARY 4, 2006. Good information. Thanks! Edited by - mpollard on 12/22/2005 9:58:21 PM

POST 3Original post

Awesome, thanks- you're a stud. Nice to have a real dealer around.

POST 4Original post

I can read the two replys on this thread but the original post by Woodhouse appears blank. Anyone know what my problem is or if others have same result?

POST 5Original post

Can someone who can read the post by Woodhouse please copy and paste it as a reply post. Thanks

POST 6Original post

kmns, I just assumed it was left blank and the title said it all? I could be way off. FWIW Russ

POST 7Original post

I guess you're right Russ. It crossed my mind after my posts, but maybe it was wishful thinkingthat there was more. Like how he got the info, and whether this is confirmed or a theory. At this pointI thirstfor almost any news that will confirm that we might get our cars a little sooner than expected. It's funny how the closer we get the slower time passes. I probably won't sleep the night before. In fact, sometimes I look at how I'm acting lately and it scares me. For example, at this moment it is almost 2:00am in the morning. My wife is busy wraping presents, the parrots want to be covered for the night, the dog wants to be walked, the cat wants to be petted, and I'm sitting here surfing the posts.Wow/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/crazy.gif Edited by - kmns on 12/22/2005 11:00:08 PM

POST 8Original post

Kmns, Yes I would have liked a little more as well, like what port, all ports? I guess cars are being held at the port by Porsche. It is begining to look like most of us will be getting our car near or at the same time. The ship that has my car arrives on the 6th and that is also the deadline to get my car to the next vessel that leaves on the 10th. I sure hope it makes it! Aloha Russ

POST 9Original post

Woodhouse is having problems posting after the site upgrade, I emailed him some suggested changes to make on his end as I think it has to do with the cookie change over. His title of the topic pretty much says it all.

POST 10Original post

Sure hope that is true!!!! Can't wait to see car at dealer, as he will tell me as soon as it is at dealer.

POST 11Original post

Well, tomorrow is Jan. 4. If Porsche is planning to ship cars from port on 1/04/06, you would think that someone would be able to confirm that on the day before. Has anyone out there talked to a dealer today regarding this information provided by Woodhouse? Is it going to happen? How about some feedback from those who are tight with their dealers. How about an update by Woodhouse. Thanks in advance.

POST 12Original post

KMNS, I spoke with my dealer today and they have not yet heard anything regarding vehicles shipping from port.

POST 13Original post

I'm in the same boat. Dealer just called to let me know that there was no change in status of my Cayman. Hopefully when I make it down Fri. he will be able to give me an update. Gotta check and verify the freebie lights and that time will be for the sport shifter before the delivery day.

POST 14Original post

They 'lost' mine! Can't determine if it was shipped! Has been built for three weeks! Is it on the boat or still sittin' in Europe???I'm going nutz! I need a drink............../fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/end.gif

POST 15Original post

hvdcman and Rick, Thanks for your feedback. Lets hope we get a pleasant surprise later this week.

POST 16Original post

Kevin, lol... Get ahold of yourself man. It's probably sitting in Brunswick right now. Porsche sure has a way of keeping us uninformed. At least it does'nt have to go far to reach you in Georgia.

POST 17Original post

Kevozzi, What is the last 4 of your vin#? mine is 1527. Maybe they lost both of ours... Edited by - patch2 on 01/03/2006 4:41:31 PM

POST 18Original post

kevozzi, I think I would give Porsche in Germany more credit and believe that they know what they are doing even if your dealer doesn't. I would bet you that it is on a boat and they will surprise the heck out of you (themselves as well) with a ' It is here!'. Let us know the good news! Russ

POST 19Original post

Thanks Russ! I'm leaning on the dealer right now. Patch, the last four numbers are 1567.

POST 20Original post

My dealer told me today that my car is i being held at the port in Brunswick, GA and would be departing tomorrow or the next day to miami. So close!!

POST 21Original post

There are currently 2 Caymans being held in San Diego that will be shipped to Hawaii on the 10th. It looks like Porsche is making it so these cars are not going to arrive any too soon. Russ

POST 22Original post

Kevozzi I've been hoping for exactly for what Russ is saying butthis it's veryvery interesting. My VIN is 2 after yours #1569, very similar spec.and I was told on 12/5 that it was built yet they've beentelling me ithasn't shipped as well. Did they really tell you it's 'lost'? I'm waiting for a call back from my dealer and I'll let you know if I find out anything.

POST 23Original post

Hey CC, My dealer says the car was finished in early December but my short shifter mod may have required an extra few days, but no impact on the Jan 14 delivery, however, there is no current record of the car evergetting on a ship. One of the salesmen told me they often 'show up' and the daily status info is not current. I told them today that a lot of folks were coming over with me next Saturday to pick the car up. I have a good salesman who I feel will get to the bottom of it........I hope! Otherwise I'm driving the demo car till mine arrives! I live next to the ISS manager for the Port of Savannah (who control Brunswick). If I do not have an answer by COB Wednesday, my neighbor is getting me 'behind the fence' in Brunswick and I'll look for the sucker my self, If its not there/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/angry_smile.gif!!!!! If I get downto Brunswicklater in the week I'd be happy to look for a few VIN numbers for you guys (and snap a few pictures). I still need a drink!!!

POST 24Original post

Dealer just confirmed mine is still not showing ONVESL./fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/wall.gif He doesn't really have any explanation but said he would look into it. Is yours a December build? I kept asking until they added the sport shifter. Maybe that is what's holding it up? Who know's? I need a drink too!/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/beer1.gif

POST 25Original post

I think the build date includes the short shifter and 'a builds a build'. Our cars should be in Brunswick! I'm gonna get an answer, one way or another...

POST 26Original post

Mine was built on 11/23 with the short shifter and was on boat on 12/9, in San Diego 12/28. If there was a hold up with your car it was not the short shifter. JHellow
