Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Whilst cleaning my car I found a 30mm long 8mm bolt with captive washer, sticking out loose from the edge of the rear undertray. Can anyone identify what it may be from. It was on top of the rear floor undertray inboard of the passenger side rear wheel to the front of the metal cross member that runs between the rear suspension. I attach a couple of photos. The bolt head fits a 13mm socket. The yellow arrow in photo indicates appropriate where bolt was wedged sticking out. Edited by Benelux on Thursday 18th May 09:09

POST 2Original post

Looks very similar to bolts that hold up the under trays or plastic air ducting. Not suspension related as those are all much bigger or Hex / Torx heads.
