Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Mine rarely gets cleaned (and this seems to help a bit in not attracting unwanted attention) and does the shopping, gets parked in hotel car-parks, goes to Brussels a few times a year, the odd track day, and takes one medium to large dog to her Pets as Therapy visits once a week!
Leading evidence: 'Clean (and this seems' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean (and this seems' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

as the user name suggest I currently own a garage queen 993 (and I mean the ultimate pampered car) However, i enjoy driving it more than cleaning it and the 20 days a year it does go out seems to me to be wrong reason for owning a Porsche..... I want the joy of driving one several times a week
As such I am looking for a 996 TT budget of around £35k. THis is going to be my main car and as such could really do with advice on what to look for, how easy are they to live with, is my budget realistic for a good one not some ropey old hound, options to have as a must (considering future re sale). I end up doing months of research but a starting point would be good !!
THe 993 whilst a wonderful car is just a bit too raw to drive every day, and to be honest the thought of leaving it in a car park freaks me out. I dont want to be so precious re the new one and I dont really give a monkeys about re sale values etc. Its going to loose money but at least I will have fun whilst chucking it away !
I'd have a chat with Wattie on here, I think he's quite close'ish to you and perhaps a nice way to get some real owner feedback, and he might even sell you his....
Cheers Chris :thumb:
Brilliant every-day car, but stick to standard spec as much as possible to start with: Just had a lift in Andy (Promax) Turbo S with uprated suspension and I think I will have to go to the dentists soon to have all my fillings put back!
I didn't think I would ever have an automatic sports car, but am loving the Tiptronic S - works well in manual mode when you want a bit of a blast, but nice and lazy when you're stuck in traffic or just cruising!
Done 11,000 miles in 8 months and it has cost me nothing really - apart from about 3 litres of oil. Having said that, it is currently at ProMax as an oxygen sensor seems to have failed and it is also having the air-con fixed (don't think it ever worked, since I owned it, tbh) and a minor service. Fuel consumption is better than my previous 993 and 996 C4, unless you enjoy all the performance - in which case I still average 20 mpg.

All that for £28,000 in my case, and don't worry about depreciation too much - can't see these ever being worth less than £20,000 - even Cat D ones are selling for £25,000!
