PS I have an aerokit kit that was lowered with an H&R spring set from day one so it's REALLY low

I raise the car with Karl S.' method: raise one side of the rear VERY high with a jack (I have the aluminum type but just use whatever is low enough or roll onto 2x4' before), then put a stand in the front.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Can anyone recommend good jack stands and where to buy online for a 996 with an aero kit? Local auto stores have nothing. I assume I need stands with the lowest maximum height?? The ones in the local stores are 13 inches or more. I would think this is kind of high??
checked ultimate garage and they are out of stock!! Couldn't find them on carrenewal. Anywhere else?? Also where can I buy the flat tops?? They are a must with the aero kit.

I raise the car with Karl S.' method: raise one side of the rear VERY high with a jack (I have the aluminum type but just use whatever is low enough or roll onto 2x4' before), then put a stand in the front. Once you've done the 2 fronts, raise the rear through a very strong point on the engine case. It's L-shaped. You can't miss it, then put 2 regular stands. There is nothing particular about the aerokit. Search the archives, this has been debated on numerous occasions

I think you can also get the jackstands from Kinesis Motorsports in San Diego area (I had purchased my AC jack from them - awesome jack..gets under my somewhat low car w/ no problem). You might be able to get a PCA discount as well.
There was also a recent group buy on th AC jackstands recently on the 993 board.
I also use the Sears jack stands. I place a small block of wood in the saddle to make them flat and to avoid marring the jack plate on the car. These work fine, they're cheap, and available at your local Sears store.

Thanks for the help guys. I think I'll try the Karl s method also and get the jacks at sears. There is one close buy.
Jean-Marc.....I also have the H & R springs so mine is really low also... a little less than 4 inchs.
