Could it be as simple as a blow fuse, or will I likely have to replace the damned thing?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, I've got a CR-22 head unit, and today it was on, but on Mute for a while. Whilst driving, I hit the power button, which turned it off, and then pressed it again - what happened then was the Porsche text was displayed, but with a really dim backlight, and it seemed to get stuck like that. Pressing the power button did nothing (Porsche still remained, unit wouldn't turn off). In the end I pressed the button to access the tape deck, and that caused the Porsche text to disappear. However, since then my unit won't power on. What's the likely cause? Could it be as simple as a blow fuse, or will I likely have to replace the damned thing?

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just incase someone else searches and finds this thread, the problem is now solved. Removing the appropriate fuse and re-inserting it seemed to do the trick. Thanks to BG996 for pointing me in the right direction.
