Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hopefully someone can help out, when I bought the 996 it had a GT2 front bumper in replace of the STD aerokit one. It had been done with replaced ducts, wheel arch liners etc. Now the bumper has some stone chips and the black duct trims have shed paint due to flys etc. Now the question is are these pieces usually painted or is there a trim piece missing, on the PET they list a seperate part but I'm unsure if this is part I already have! So to clarify it's the trim piece around the air intakes of a GT2 front bumper Thanks for any help / guidance Rick

POST 2Original post

ducts They come as a separate part that is plastic welded into place,My gt2 bumper is currently in the bodyshop being painted and I have just asked them to repaint the duct surrrounds in matt black finish.Dont know what colour they come from the dealer .

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the help, I don't think mine has the plastic parts then. Would you be able to provide any pics of your bumper just so I can clarify?? Cheers :thumb:

POST 4Original post

ducts mines in the body shop ,why not post a pic of yours and i will tell you if you have them fitted ?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good idea, here's mine but hard to see from this - basically inside the ducts there are no plastic covers it's all flush with the backs painted black.

POST 6Original post
