The first is the plug-in friction type clip that comes installed on the blue sensor cable just up from the sensor itself; the other two are the little interlocking clasps near the firewall that clamp the blue sensor cable to another black cable that follows a similar path.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi all. I registered here a while back but just recently bought a 2011 Cayman Base (my first Porsche !). So, while I have been a Planet-9 follower, I have not been an active participant. Sorry to make my first post a plea for help, but ... I had a CEL show up. The nice fellow at a local indie shop plugged in his OBD2 reader and told me my Bank 1 Sensor 1 was bad. I had a look at my ALLDATAdiy account and thought, "I can do that." Well, all went fine today, until trying to remove the old cable from all the pesky clips. I've managed to find and undo three. The first is the plug-in friction type clip that comes installed on the blue sensor cable just up from the sensor itself; the other two are the little interlocking clasps near the firewall that clamp the blue sensor cable to another black cable that follows a similar path. The problem is that there seems to be a fourth clip that is tucked up in a spot deeper into the engine bay and I can't find a way to get a visual or actually touch the thing at all. Of course ALLDATAdiy doesn't show any of these clips (which is pretty frustrating) and none of the YouTube videos I've found show the particular clip that has me stumped. Anyone dealt with this before? I could really use some insight. Thanks in advance, George_L P.S. I'll post a more appropriate introduction (and pics!) once I get back up and running.

POST 2Original post

Update for anyone interested: It took some wild arm/wrist contortions and working backwards while looking in a mirror but I managed to find and undo the hidden clip. Not fun. My biggest concern before starting was that the sensor might be tough to remove. Nope, that was a piece of cake. Whatever, it's done now and as soon as I finish my lunch I'm going to put the car back together and go for a drive ––hopefully without throwing any CELs. Best, George_L
