I've used tyretraders in the past, but their website was down for a while - I assumed they'd gone bust, but it looks like I was wrong.
Replace anyway) and they did a superb job, very professional

I had the car up on jack stands and wheels removed for them (was doing oil change anyway) and they did a superb job, very professional.

I'm sticking with the MPS2 as I'm really happy with them and the fronts don't need replacing so only need the rears...
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi All,
Trying to find a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 2 in 285/30/18 N3 and having no joy. Does anyone have any good recommendations near Ascot/ Weybridge?
Might have to go 295/30/18 on a 10J wheel, problems?
Thanks...

Hi Stuart
Event tyres
www.event-tyres.co.uk
are showing the 285/30R18 93Y Michelin Pilot Sport 2 N3s at £315.73.
If you've not used Event before they're very good. They come to you and fit at your home or place of work.
Matt
Thanks, I saw that but they are the most expensive of everyone I know, found
www.tyretraders.com
who say they have them but never heard of them before??? Didn't really want to pay over £550 for them...
Michelin don't even have a delivery date on next supply... :?
Hi Chris, I'm picking the car up Saturday morning from Byfleet and need the tyres fitted by Monday for a Euro trip. I may actually have to go with event tyres after all... :bandit:

Why not swop to Bridgestone or Continental? Maybe not quite as good as MPS, but readily available. I'd probably think Bridgestone (S-02) were a better occasional track-tyre as well.
Actually by the time you factor in fitting and having to wait for them to turn up in time or not I think maybe I'll just bite the event tyres bullet.

If you can get them for £550 then grab them! I think they may have just put their prices up as I'm now quoting customers £100 more per pair than last month!! :x
I have 295/30/18 rears on 10" rims with no problems. 235/40/18 fronts on the 8" rim lightly scuff the front liner on lock.
Agree with the PS2 sentiment.
If you get REALLY stuck let me know Stuart. My PS2s are currently off the car.
£631 later and I have new rears. Guys came to the house today and fitted. I had the car up on jack stands and wheels removed for them (was doing oil change anyway) and they did a superb job, very professional. My wallet is feeling very light right now though...
