Dear 9'ers,
Just wanted to drop a line to say that after long search online, I have managed to find and buy a PDF version of the Workshop Service Manual for my
2007 Cayman S
. The price is about $8.
Not sure how long the Ebay seller will have them available for purchase, but here is the link. I have bought and can confirm that seller sends a link to a zip file, that when un-packed is a folder of PDF files each as a chapter covering service categories (Airbags, cooling, brakes, ignition, steering etc.).

And in case anyone's curious about
987.2
service manual availability, I'll save you the time. It's not.
was your file named
Porsche Cayman
2005-2008 FSM.pdf and 146.6 MB in size?
Why post the ebay link? Why not just put the file up somewhere so everyone can download it?
Its a collection of PDFs in a user made zip folder. Total size is 96mb.
I don't think that would be right considering the guy has made an effort to make available something that
Porsche
only provides to its own dealer network. I can't post the whole damn thing here, but would be happy to send individual chapters if anyone needs them. Thinking of doing it for power steering pump replacement in the DIY section if admins don't mind.
KM
I would like the chapter on clutch replacement if you can.
Sure mate; whats your email?
Hi.
I bought a
Cayman
shop manual a couple of years ago on eBay . It was about the same price and also included a download link for the zip file.
While it did contain many chapters, there seemed to be a bunch that were missing. Example: 4-9, 21-23... Can an you confirm if all the chapters were included in your purchase?
Thanks.
Thanks, its

Yes it is. I have had it for a year. Used it to put my 3.8 in.

They have 987.2 through 2011.
I priced it, $45 for 5 years looks like a good buy to me. Was the info accurate for a
987.2
in the areas you looked at? Which areas did you check?..
I have used the engine section extensively, along with removal and installation. Once you grow accustomed to how it's organized, it's fairly easy to use. There is the occasional missing subject, but most everything is there. I remember having a question in regards to the details for pressure testing the high pressure fuel injection system, and asked my dealers service manager to check my AllData info with their Porsche info, and it checked out. It is an invaluable source for torque specs. I have a 2012 Cayman R but everything is basically the same.
You're welcome. Glad you found it useful.
what was ebay seller's nick name?
Croc999 - the sellers nick is:

bought the manuals.
looking very good.
go and spend 8$ - it's worth it.
I bought the manual when i first got my
boxster
and find it to be very handy from time to time. I would make it available for download but it goes against the terms of use for the site.
A word of caution: The pdf files do not include everything and it seems that some sections were omitted. Also, it is sometimes difficult to find the info you need I often find myself digging through volumes of inforamtion just to get that one small tid-bit hat is useful.
Overall: better to be with it than without and for just a few dollars... why not?
Terms of use through which site? Are you talking about the official Porsche online pro docs?
