Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that contain suggestions

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
But the big cats took the noise past acceptable levels for European Union noise regulations, so the exhaust system was redesigned using larger, high-flow silencers."
Leading evidence: 'Use larger, high-flow silencers."' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use larger, high-flow silencers."' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Definitely not the C2 3.6 exhaust. It does have headers but don't know if they are equal length or not. It also has "sport" cats, meaning they are higher flow with fewer cells than C2. Also the mufflers are a free flow design. There's a good write up on the technical details in the current issue of Excellence but I don't have it in front of me to quote from.

Hmmm. Looks like there is a little confusion on this based on different reports. Here's what Excellence had to say:
"With more air to burn and better combustion upstream, the new GT3's exhaust had to be improved. A small stamp on the new, larger-volume exhaust system says Gillet - another longtime Porsche supplier. The new system has less back-pressure thanks to 300-cell metal catalytic converters. These cats help the GT3 exceed tough new EU4 emissions laws and similar rules for the U.S., so the GT3 achieves Low Emissions Vehicle status! But the big cats took the noise past acceptable levels for European Union noise regulations, so the exhaust system was redesigned using larger, high-flow silencers."
This would lead you to think it was a unique system designed for the GT3. However, this was published a while back from Porsche touting the GT3:
"The exhaust system is basically the same as on the 911 Carrera, meaning that it comes in twin-chamber design, exhaust gas from the left- and right-hand row of cylinders flowing back separately. Each of these exhaust pipes comes with a lambda control oxygen sensor arranged upstream of the metal-based catalytic converter, double lambda control of this quality reliably fulfilling the strictest emission legislation worldwide.
Infinitely variable VarioCam enables Porsche's engineers not only to optimise the development of power and torque, but also to significantly improve the engine's emission control. The raw gas flowing into the catalytic converter comes with such a high standard of quality that the new catalytic converter does not even need the usual layer of platinum. Supported by a secondary air pump, the six-cylinder power unit of the 911 GT3 fulfils both the European EU4 and the US LEV emissionstandards."
So this would lead you to believe it is the same system as on the 2003 Carrera. I guess we won't know for sure until we see the parts catalog update.
