Does anyone know where the switch is to activate the front hood light. My light remains on when I close the hood.

Hello @nasa19`` , I am not 100%, but from a quick search, it comes up as either a micro switch on or in the latch mechanism, or a old push button style by the hood hinge. Johnny .

Sorry to hear. What year is the 964? Some of the later years may have an emergency pull behind the marker light on driver or passenger side. You may want to check the archives on Rennlist as I remember this being discussed in the past. Good luck, Skip Quote:

IDo not see how the swicth separates from the latch. did find 2 wires going to the latch. The wiring is attached to the complete latch mechasim and the switch looks to be a part of the unit. I think you have to replace the whole latch.
