Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Just curious if anyone has purchased break pads off of EBAY. Here is an example of an ad I saw. Seems like a decent deal. 2005-08 Porsche Boxster Cayman Front& RR Brake Pads OEM: eBay Motors (item 370397174031 end time Jul-15-10 08:42:09 PDT)

POST 2Original post

I don't know . . . if the picture is correct, they don't look like the OEM pads to me. Also, it isn't clear whether they are the S or non-S 987 fitment, since they list both type models in their description, which doesn't make a lot of sense.

I found this on the Suncoast site: A good source to buy from. Front Brake Pad Set - 2.7 liter Cayman or Boxster Code: 98735193903 Price: $104.50

POST 4Original post

Yea, I am not too comfortable on the ebay bit for the pads. Think I'll be going for Suncoast!
