Usually you don't have to replace factory rotors until the cracks are about to connect between the rotor cross drilled holes, or if the thickness is not up to spec (thickness spec is in the FAQ).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I couldn't surprisingly find the answer to my question so i'm starting a new thread. What can i replace my standard OEM discs with, they are on there way out and the pads look like they've had it to. Some serious pitting on the inside of the front rotors, which is shocking for only 28k miles. Anyway, i am asking this because i wanted to find out if there's anything worth changing to, for road use only. I have no problem with the standard OEM brake setup btw, if thats the way to go then i'll simply buy new parts. Next question is where best to buy from in the UK. CHEERS

POST 2Original post

You could try one of our sponsors, someone like Motordrive in the UK or Suncoast , etc. here in the US, they ship worldwide. If you don't need something specific for track use, I'd say just get a new set of factory rotors. Usually you don't have to replace factory rotors until the cracks are about to connect between the rotor cross drilled holes, or if the thickness is not up to spec (thickness spec is in the FAQ). searching on "Brake Rotor" brings up a lot of info...

POST 3Original post

Hey, at least you got 28k! I got 17k!! New front pads, discs, and discounted brake fluid plus miscellaneous parts such as sensors and fitting cost me £700 from OPC....
