Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Dear all, I just imported 2008 Cayman 2.7 and have problems registering it - I need the engine number, but I and the people in the workshop I usually use (not a Porsche official workshop) can't find it. Do someone know where exactly is the number stamped on the engine - the car is 2008 Cayman 2.7 and how I can read it - from the upper cover or underneath the car? Thank you!

POST 2Original post

It's on the underside of the crankcase. I think on passengers side. You need to read it from underneath the car. Look at page 267 of the owner's manual for a picture of where to find it. If you do not have the manual, you can download it here: Planet-9 - Downloads - 2007 Cayman Owners Manual PDF

POST 3Original post

Thank you bretster! I don't have it and now I will read it, sorry I didn't search for documentation earlier. Regards!

POST 4Original post

Good luck with the car. I'm sure you will enjoy it!
