Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

My 2006 987 Boxster recently developed the following fault The passengers window drops when you open the door, but doesnt return to top position when you shut it. Originally i spoke to Porsche Leeds, they suggest trying to replace the £20 microswitch on the door handle, that didn't work. I have today fitted a new latch (£116+VAT) and still no change! I can't get my head round it, as surely its the latch that sends the signal to the motor to tell it to move up/down as the door is opened/closed??? Any help much appreciated.
