i've just taken delievery of my car and was supprised to find a cd changer in the front boot, it seems the changer is not an option here. i was wondering how good this unit is and what can it play ? will it be able to play CDs that i burn myself ? my orignal plan was to somehow get an AUX port into the built in sound system, I don't have PCM and some cheap non-intrusitve solution will do just fine. i did some reading on the subject and found the FM modulator solution, and was wondering what kind of work will be involved, i probably have to do the work myself since there is no one here making these type of modifications on the cayman. i need some advice, a cheap, nothing fancy and safe AUX port, for a non-PCM cayman

I have the 6 CD changer, and it works fine with CDs I burn myself. It will not play mp3 CDs as far as I know. I believe with PCM, the in-dash player will play mp3s but the CD changer is the same, so it will only play CD audio files. brad

100% right. If you're thinking about iPod integration, there are many FM modulators out there that require nothing but to be plugged in the lighter outlet! Oh and btw, congrats on finally getting your car ________________________ "Sir! We're surrounded!" - "Excellent! We can shoot in any direction!" A good car will get you from point A to point B. A great car... will just get you into trouble!

thanks for the info. i can burn my all time favourite songs on CD and keep them in the changer. and use the FM modulator for "flavor of the month" type songs.
