They are a quick install, I took my time on it, cleaned the area and put paste wax on the area before putting them in and was done in less than 45 min.

I purchased and installed the sequential version of the same lights.

Thanks for taking the time doing this, the video with the function check sealed the deal for me!

I got these to replace the DEPO lights which work great but I wanted something different.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

These tails came on the car when I bought it and I noticed some were out at the time. The drivers side is perfect but the passenger side has about 4 or 5 leds out... I haven't taken them out to look at them yet as I figured I could get an answer here... Can these leds be replaced? Or are they a sealed unit that I would have to bake to open them up and re seal?.... Can the individual leds even be replaced in these? You can see on the left of the tail in the pic where they are out.
Thanks!
Pic attached
Ok so I fixed them... Well sort of... I bought a new set that look so much better!!! Even fixed the fog light error code the other lights threw.
I'm not sure if the pictures do these lights justice, they really look good in person and fitment is spot on!
Here is a teaser pic, I'll post more tomorrow... I'm sure many of you have seen these before but if you are looking for new LED tail lights I cant reccomend these enough and for under $400.00 for the pair they are well worth the price!!!
And I am extremely picky...
Not sure why the orientation of the pic is sideways, guess hold your phone sideways to see straight lol...
I'll post more pics tomorrow so you can see in daylight as well.
Here are some more pics...
I was actually hesitant to pick these up because the listing made them look pretty ricey and even the pics really do not do them justice, I did a LOT of image searching and YouTube watching and finally picked them up because they were under $400 and thought what the hell... They look much better in person... I'll post a link to where I got them. I bought the Red / Clear because I figured if I wanted to I can tint them myself. They also have smoked lenses avail and I'll post a link to that as well...
I bought from this place because they had great ratings and I got them literally in 3 days, they got here quick!
What I bought Red / Clear:

They also have Smoked here:

Don't resist it, just do it!...
The price includes free shipping as well... Literally the best $400 you can spend to update the look of the 987 in about 30 to 45 min... They are a quick install, I took my time on it, cleaned the area and put paste wax on the area before putting them in and was done in less than 45 min. The far nut on the passenger side was tough because the LED's that were in there B4 had some sort of ballast kind of thing blocking the way.
Took these pics today to show close up of fitment in case you are wondering ... Literally no gap at the top, they fit pretty much flush with the body lines and they fit better than the last LEDs that were on the car when I bought her.
I will try to post some pics tonight when I get home from work of that for you... I'll also post some links of videos I found from you tube that helped in my decision making process.
Actually I switched out my Halogens for LEDs (plug and play) in both the fogs and the low beams and I like these lights now!... I really dont like the look of the aftermarket headlights... Just needed to whiten these up and they look awesome now!
These are the lights I used and I highly recommend! (Not for Bi Xenons tho!)
Man, the pics of these lights do NOT do them justice at all... Not sure why they come out orange in the pics... That solid bar is so red in real life...
Anyway, here are some pics, but not brake light... Couldnt get that pic, no one to put their foot on the brake and my dogs not cooperating lol...
Also here is a video link that helped me decide... Mind you I went with the red / clear and hes got smoked in this video:

That guy is a trip lol!

Hope these help!
Hi Joe, Thanks!
NO... I do not believe these will fit the 987.2... I am pretty sure the .2's had a slight change in shape but there are some aftermarket tails for the .2's if you search for them out there.
Lights arrived a few days after ordering...packed nicely.
Finally got around to installing them today; super easy.
Start to finish 30 mins., thanks to Trijicon for the install tips.
No need to post pix, as they will absolutely mirror Trijicon's
Meteor CS.
They look superb on the car.
No offense to your photographic skills, but in reality, they look significantly better.
Now that you got my full attention...what can I do about those darn yellowish fog
lights that look hideous with my Xenon headlamps? I don't want to swap for the
mini led strips that others have posted in abundance, as I actually prefer the look
of the OEM round fog lamps.
Yeah, the photos do no justice to the tails in actuality when you see them in person!
Ok so for the fogs I out these in (Pics)
H11 Profile LED's ... And I took OUT the little halogen parking light all together because I could not find a suitable replacement... So when I drive I just put on the parking lights and pull out once to put the fogs on... They are a nice crisp white light... I also changed out my headlights with the LED's as well so the match is perfect... Since you have xenons u wont do that part but if you want crisp white fogs give these a try... I like them a lot and they put out pretty good light as well... I have no complaints with them...
Thanks for the info Trijicon. I purchased and installed the sequential version of the same lights. I love the newer look and they look so much better in person.

I got these to replace the DEPO lights which work great but I wanted something different. Hence the sequential version. If anyone is interested in a used set of DEPO lights, hit me up. I've had no issues with them (all leds work).
Thanks!
-Moto
Update: the fog light on the passenger's side tail light doesn't work. I swapped the bulbs but still didn't fix the issue.
I called VIP-MOTO, they said it doesn't matter because I live in California so I won't be breaking any law.
Well, it is not the issue. I bought them brand new and expect them to work 100% as they should.
I might be returning these since they have 30 day no hassle return policy.
Hey BeemaaP,
Does it work on the driver's side? You know I've had this car for over 10 years, I never used to rear fogs. In fact I didn't even figure out how to turn it on until you posted and had to research it. LOL
Anyway, from what I've read, it sounds like rear fogs only works on the driver's side. Of course, it doesn't seem to be working on either side for me. Not worried about it though. I still think they're great set of lights. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.
Good luck!
-Moto
From the factory, there is only a rear fog light on the driver side. There is none on the passenger side. Now if the new LEDs have a fog bulb on the passenger side, it's likely there's no power going to that bulb because it wouldn't have been there from the factory. Any way, that's my brainiac theory for the day.
Hi Moto,
Driver side works! Maybe I am a little bit OCD
Can someone (other than Moto) with an after market please check if your passenger fog rear light works?
Thanks in advance!
You are welcome. Wish I could afford to do the same tail light swap. I think they look amazing. But as an old retired fart on a fixed income and just having to spend $1,700 on new hearing aids, the wife put her foot down, LOL.
