Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Anyone have a part number for a Torrington or other thrust needle bearing (and washers) for Bilstein PSS9 setup? I'm tired of the spring binding twang, and the previous owner didn't put the main spring washer in, so while I'm in there... Thank you. Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk

POST 3Original post

Thanks for this Catellus, mine arrived yesterday. Question: Do I need to secure the shaft on the PSS9 against rotating when I back off the top nut? I don't want to break anything internal to the piston. And if so, how do I counter the torque? Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk

POST 4Original post

Maybe yes, maybe no. Some people have success blasting the nut off and on with an impact wrench. Other times, it does need to be counterheld, as dkky996 suggests. And I agree, the purchase for the allen tool is marginal and it's easy to cam it out, ruin the socket in trying to torque it down.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
