Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I was just noticing how little I use the Analog speedo.

I bought them used on a used set of wheels for winter driving.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Fifth Gear is useless to me, not the Vickie Butler-Henderson/Tiff Needell magazine, but the transmission gear. My commute is an optional stretch of interstate followed by 40 mph state highways. I do the big pull up to highway speed in 3rd, a quick stint in 4th and then slot it into 6th and and keep it there. On the state highways 5th is too tall and doesn’t get used. I see wanting fifth on a faster state highway or on a very fast section of a track.
I thought my snowtires were useless. I bought them used on a used set of wheels for winter driving. It snows where I live and work in Massachusetts and I live at what could be considered either the top of a short very steep hill or the bottom of a very long steep hill. With 2WD, LSD and traction control the car can make it up the short hill if the tires grip and they have all winter. The issue I’ve had is handling. The car drove like a Pinto. Then, on some sage advice, I experimented with more air. I was at 36f, 44r and now with 43f, 44r the car turns in well and I can hang the rear end when I want to. The penalty for the air pressure is the CD player skipping on some frost heaves.
The analog speedo is useless. Totally. I only use the digital readout.
Navy blue is a good color for me. No tickets in 6 months of ownership. I really like some of the brighter colors but I need stealth for a DD.
I love this car. I smile every time I get in it.
Ha ! I love Fifth Gear the TV show.
5th gear in the C4S is great for passing moves at 60-80, a nice drop into the powerband without too much speed.
I was just noticing how little I use the Analog speedo. The newest Porsches have a gps map in the gauge cluster. I'd love a custom gauge cluster that put a map in the analog binnacle.
Ditto here on 6 months of LEO avoidance in this particular commute 996. Thank god for the hidden Escort Laser Jammer and detectors !
My pulse quickens as I see her wide hips when I walk up to my parking and with PSE my commutes sound like mini track days
I never look at the analog speedo either. I wonder if there is a hack you could do involving a custom gauge face to make that gauge show something useful...
