Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

112 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • PistonHeads: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I’ll try and get there in a 991.2 touring if the weather is suitable.

POST 2Original post

Are GT "S"s allowed? If so, I might turn up in my 992 GTS. No problem if not...

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, can you Adam and Eve it, here we are again at the start of another year. We had a bit of a mixed bag of meet ups last year, whilst the attendance at C&M was great, I think we were let down by some of the mechanics of the ordering process, and there was a VERY unfortunate incident in the car park involving some s on mopeds doing donuts on the gravel - Thankfully this was after we'd all gone. We then had a bit of a false start on what should have been the summer solstice meet, again - issues with the venue put paid to that... So.. Here we are in 2023. Lots of crap still going in the world and the weather is currently pants so we all need something good to look forward to, right? While I'm still pulling the final details together I thought I'd put this thread out there, so that there's something for people to talk about other than: YT Flippers, Unavailability of options, Finance figures and delayed deliveries... The Date will be SATURDAY 25th March The location will be somewhere around the Cotswolds-ish Yes its a Saturday this year, I usually do the last Sunday before the clocks change to make the most of the early sunrise, but the Sunday before is Mothers day and I'm not about to be responsible for people getting into trouble for messing with the actual most important day in the year. I'll start a table in the next couple of days but this is your 'keep the date' post Same as before - It'd be great to get as many GT"x" cars out as we can... I know that there have been a few 997 4.0RS's that changed hands last year - so it'd be nice to see those.. anyone that facies mixing it up with a CGT - that would be great. but everyone's welcome... because we're nice like that. POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well my 987 Spyder will prob be there as well… so.. yeah. I just need to check if I’ve got to apply a cap on numbers and then I’ll run up an attendance tracker

POST 8Original post

If my tatty 996 Carrera is allowed to be in such close proximity to GT cars then I will try and attend.

Good shout and count me in, either in an early 911 or GT3. Thanks for organising.

POST 12Original post

If I have the GT3 back by then, I'm in. So far, it's had two sets of brand new shocks on since last meet.... Otherwise, I guess attending in a Taycan Cross Turismo is taking the piss?

When don't you take the piss? - Just put GT3 and bring whatever on the day... I'm going to have to work out moving cars around the country before March otherwise only the A6 is available so If I cant do that, I'll be in Audi! I'm secretly hoping that my '69 Beetle is ready so I can bring that!! but don't tell anyone..

Was lovely to meet a few of you today. Every car was stunning and what a great bunch of people to go with them! Really well organised too so many thanks Nurburgsingh, the breakfast sandwiches filled my early morning munchies too! Did managed to pop to diddly squat too, it was absolutely packed but fortunately managed to get parked out the front - wouldn’t have been able to get in the main car park in the 997.

Have to say RSVP. In the metal (and carbon) your car looks truly stunning. It’s an incredible colour and really suits the car.

I certainly will help you convict the little FR Reminds of the day a mate put his 911 into a small river on a hillclimb, the following season same venue,he goes off for lunch and comes back to his car with a pair of scuba flippers taped to his exhausts,a snorkel taped to his side window and a pair of goggles on the dash just incase he required it

I saw a few people with posh cameras taking photos - I’m guessing you’re neck deep still in photoshop but it would be great to see those when available.

Annoyed with the tyre fitter so will look elsewhere . Any Ideas for 991.2 RS tyres , London and South east Call Mark at Tyrepoint in Maidstone, he always seems to have stock when others don’t. He does all sorts of HyperCars , and is familiar with centrelocks etc . Great prices.

Thanks again No, not from a parking point of view, the logistics pain then moves on to queuing / ordering / cooking. It’s a fairly big risk for the venue - I tell them 100 cars are turning up, they get enough pork in for 125 people and say only 60 cars show up… or even the other way, I say 100 cars and 200 show up.. I think Region 9 have had 90 odd cars there at one point or another, so space isn’t the issue - commitment is. There is a PCGB big even at the end of July but that’s ticketed and that’s the other option - you pre purchase your “coffee and breakfast roll”. My next meet up there is currently planned for a date to be confirmed in July. So I’ve got some options to explore.

For that matter, the speed the old single-seat, chain-driven Edwardian cars (GN specials) go up Shelsley is bats t crazy.

Just while I am working out the details for "Renn-devous 2" a question to you all... Given the location would you prefer a Saturday or a Sunday next time? - I cant promise I'll be able to deliver what the masses say, its down to when we can be accommodated, but if I get the choice...

I spend a good deal of my weekends getting muddy, trying not to crash bicycles. Sunday is the bigger day for that, but I can go with flow for meet.
