Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Hi All
A virgin here and only just done the deal on a 2004 911 996 C2 cabriolet, collect next Saturday....gonna be a long week me thinks!
Few questions - what is included in the Sports Pack, I didnt want to look too daft when the yound whipper snapper sales guy said".....and it's got the sports pack of course....." Erghhhh whats included in that was going through my head but not from my mouth!!
Next, is there anything I should know on general day to day stuff or any advice, unlike any other car I have had I think I'm scared of it, not the driving but the looking after. Always had beemers that are technology based but the 996 seems to me to be mechanical and raw if you like. Any advice greatly received.
Mnay thanks
:yeah:
As Mark said, could well have meant sports chassis in which case you get a car with lowered suspension and stiffer dampers compared to a normal 996 I believe. If equipped, then it will be listed as one of the option codes on the sticker under the bonnet or in the handbook. I don't know what this option code will be however.
Aside from that, welcome to the pack - what better way to start 911 ownership than having a car specially built for the season?
Enjoy.

in addition - I actually WOULD have asked him what was included in the sports 'pack' - and got him to explain it to you...
A good test on whether he knew his beans or not....??
If you're a first time owner, how are you supposed to know...?
I didn't know what half the crap meant when I bought my first car, so spent all day going through it with them - that's what they're getting paid for!!!!
