This is not a probability of success.

however, i would think that you could oput on hi-flow cats and change the exhaust a bit and then tune the chip for more fuel (ie, kee the a/f where they should be.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Differences in side sill appearance, gear ratios, and engine power compared to '99-'02 versions of the GT3 cup car. Additionaly, the dampers are now adjustable, and some of the body panels are CF. Perhaps some of these changes will be seen in the road going GT3 compared to previous.
The front brake caliper is a GT2 size brake caliper painted red. The disks are metallic though and not carbon. The rear caliper is a standard 996 turbo caliper. This is the same set up as in 2002 on the cup car. The ceramic disks would become financially prohibitive for teams if and when they had to be replaced. Keep in mind there are many club level drivers in both the US and in Europe who must pay to keep these cars up out of their own pockets. Additionally, ceramics would also add to the up front cost of the vehicle. The caliper/disc set-up on the car without ceramics is more than adequate.
Does anyone know the details of how the GT3 cup engine differs from the street cars in terms of the intake? The cone appears to bolt directly to the throttle body. If so, where is the Mass Air sensor? I would love to put this setup on my car.
would anyone want to discuss upgrading the new GT3 motor? i've read what little there is out there i guess and not much comes to me offhand. i suppose you could put in a better air intake and air cleaner, but i've heaqrd that its hard to improve the stock porsche exhaust? however, i would think that you could oput on hi-flow cats and change the exhaust a bit and then tune the chip for more fuel (ie, kee the a/f where they should be. has anyone put their car on a wideband lambda with a 4 wire heated o2 sensor to see where they have the stock a/f's set? is there any improvement by leaning it out a bit? anyone got any ideas? -gordon
We don't know any details on the new GT3 so its hard to hypothesize on what can be done to it. I'm just happy with my 345 hp for now. BTW, the GT3's will probably be 2004's
