Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Clean (<a href="http://www.realtime.net/~rentner/porsche/radiator/radiator.html" target="_blank">' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean (<a href="http://www.realtime.net/~rentner/porsche/radiator/radiator.html" target="_blank">' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The following are two pictures of the engine temperature. First was after a hard drive at high speeds and rpm's, AC off.. The second is after heavy traffic with A/C on.. The second indication is the highest it ever goes to, never more..
If I cruise at sixth for a couple of minutes the temperature drops again to a bit after the 80 mark.. Is it normal? (please observe oil pressure also)
Happy sunday everyone! (mine's over now!

Might be just a little high at times. I would start by cleaning the front radiators. Most time this can be done (carefully) with a good vaccumm. If that doesn't work you can remove the bumper cover for a thorough cleaning (<a href="http://www.realtime.net/~rentner/Porsche/Radiator/Radiator.html" target="_blank">Cleaning Radiators</a>). Last choice install a 3rd radiator (ala GT3) to add additional cooling (<a href="http://web.dsldesigns.com/~ljcook/radiator/index.html" target="_blank">3rd Radiator Install</a>).
Thanks Loren,
I dont understand when you say 'a good vaccum'.. What do you mean, is it external wash? or vaccum of air? i'd rather keep the front bumper cover, seems to complicated (for this country) to remove and bring back to original shape..
Thanks,
Wael

There should be an attachment to your vacuum cleaner that looks like a flattened tube. If not, you can get one of those carboard tubes that get left behind after you use up the kitchen towels, and just flatten one end and attach the other end to the vacuum. Goes right into the cavity of the radiator. I sucked up quite a bit of garbage that way!!
That does seem a little on the hot side. I'm having a little difficulty with the centigrade reading, but my needle is usually straight up, then maybe off to the right a bit as your first picture shows. But then again, the hottesr ambient temp I've had my car in was about 90 F.
I've also sucked up qyite a bit from the radiators with my vacuum, particularly since I couldn't resist this autumn and took the car out. I'd go with Loren. Vacuum tha whole area, and if that doesn't work, go with the third radiator.
90 F converts to
Celsius: 32.22
Kelvin: 305.32
Rankine: 549.67
Reaumur: 25.77
Which is the same as my CONTINUOUS ambient temperature in this country..
Moreover, my needle shows somewhere before 100deg Celsius, say 97deg Celsius:
97 C converts to:
Fahrenheit: 206.6
Kelvin: 370.15
Rankine: 666.27
Reaumur: 77.60
So, is 205 Deg normal for an engine temperature at high traffic conditions with AC and/or Serious revs at high speeds?
... I guess not too normal reading your replies!
Wael
i had the same reading with my boxster, with temperatures between 35 and 45 degrees celsius; was worried in the beginning, but in wintertime it showed normal readings.haven't got the same problem with my 02 c4 cab though.
I have a 99 C2 and I have the exactly same reading as well.
I thought it was getting high myself. I cant remember how it was when I bought the car.
I do have the expanded metal screens in my front dam, which may cause that. Not sure though.
