Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

hello guys, does anybody know where the heated seats mat's are? I had some problems a couple of weeks ago with my leather seats, as my leather got marks from my jeans, I guess the foam underneath and I corrected the problem today is almost like it used to be but I noticed something underneath my leather in a spot like 1"x1" like on the perforation holes as if there was some type of metal pins or something underneath as you can feel to the touch, kind of hard to explain like pimples LoL, the question was if the heated mat is actually under the leather maybe thats what it is? anyone had this type of problem or feeling before? ...I just concerned as you know how old Couch looks like with It's Springs Poking Out.. hope I don't get that... thanks all

POST 3Original post

That doesn't look good have the dealer look at it.

POST 4Original post

thanks K man, just don't want to get the same BS as always, oh thats normal .. it doesn't look bad but actually you can feel behind the leather layer something hard.. springs LoL here are better pics

POST 5Original post

Agree, the dealer should look at this and it should be covered by the warrenty since it cannot be considered "normal wear and tear".

POST 7Original post

so today took the car to the dealer, the Service guy told me that its just the leather and then foam underneath,no springs or heated pad, that the look and feeling of the leather ( like ostrich looking) is because it got humid and he told me to put some leather conditioner for a couple of days and see if it gets softer to touch, to put a plastic on top to get the moisture in there, don't know about that, what do you guys think if its just the leather thats is al hard, how can it get it softer again.. he said if not then we can probably try contacting porsche north america

POST 8Original post

I was watching this thread with some interest because my seat did the same thing last year. (I didn't think that my seat problems had anything to do with the heaters so I didn't chime in.) Anyway, I fixed my seat. I put some leather conditioner on the spot, covered the whole seat cushion with a piece of plastic and then stacked some heavy books on the seat to compress the rest of the foam. (Don't ask me how I came up with that. I have no idea. I just know that it worked.) The seat is fine now.
