Suggestion

Since owning my 06 I have had to replace three of them.....got to a point I got tired of spending the money on them I finally took the broken one off that was just hanging there and left it bare up until about a month ago when I bought my 4th one.

Suggestion

yup, cost about 40 bucks plus all of the screws and snaps you are going to need.....the problem is these things get yanked right off the car if you run over something on the road.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

While cleaning my used '06 Cayman S last week, I noticed that I do not have a 'splat' (vinal covering over the rear fender behind the air intake) on the passenger side. I am suppose to have them on both sides, correct?

POST 2Original post

Yes. Maybe previous owner removed it because it was damaged somehow.

POST 3Original post

yup, cost about 40 bucks plus all of the screws and snaps you are going to need.....the problem is these things get yanked right off the car if you run over something on the road. Since owning my 06 I have had to replace three of them.....got to a point I got tired of spending the money on them I finally took the broken one off that was just hanging there and left it bare up until about a month ago when I bought my 4th one. It now sits in the trunk for that time when I want the car to look pretty again, because sure enough you will hit something in the road and off it will come.......
