Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

If so, what are your thoughts? Had you run another exhaust first, such as Fabspeed?
I am trying to determine if there is a deep, throaty exhaust available that does not resonate. I love the sound of Fabspeed, but have heard that people are not happy with resonation that it creates around 2500-3200 RPM range. GHL claims to not resonate, but was wondering about the actual sound.
If you are running GHL, are oyu also running an intake? Pros/cons?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Brad...!
I do not know if this is 100% applicable to your post, as I just installed a GHL on my '87 911 and I know you have a 2001 Carrera - but on the Rennlist 911 e-mail list, someone just asked me about my GHL install, as they are going through a similiar search... Anyway - I hope it helps...

I don't like it at all - I LOVE IT!!!! Seriously, I've been in other 911's with "other" systems that resonate so badly that the seat and floorboard vibrate... In comparison - the GHL has a terrific tone - deep and throaty - but all through he RPM range, nary a hint of resonance. In fact at cruising RPM, where most other systems resonate - you can even have a conversation with your passenger without YELLING...
Also - I do have photo's of the installation I'll be posting soon - along
with a write-up and product review. I'll post the URL to that shortly.

Honestly - go with GHL. And if you are patient for a day or two, you may find that Rennlist Members get an additional discount over their 10% from Brian at GHL for a limited time.. In fact - even non-Rennlist members might be getting a "Holiday Special" discount - so stay tuned, OK???
Best to you!!
John D.
Anyway - I hope you get other comments from folks with later model P'cars...
Also - I don't know if Robin Sun (Robin's Site...) makes anything for the 996 yet, but I've heard great things about his product for the 993 Series.....!!
I have it on my 02 996 - Headers, mufflers and tips.I love the sound, it's not to loud, I think it's just right some of my friends think it should sound louder and I got a great deal on. Email me and I'll let you know where I bought it
