Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

I don't do test-drives unless I'm actually seriously looking to buy - I'm quite impulsive (the missus will testify; she went on holiday once to a Golf GTI on the drive and returned to a bright yellow 350Z, never mind her shock when a brand new £2k piano turned up last year while I was out at work

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I've still not seen one in the flesh but the more pics I see of the Sport Classic the more I love it.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all Maybe you will be interested, I certainly was, to see what turned up at my office today! I have never seen one in the flesh "before and although I was not when I saw the press pics I sure am now SURE it looks awesome up close! Enjoy!

POST 2Original post

I saw one in my OPC when i was in for a service. LUSH, really nice. wheels especially stunning, whole interior is a delight. But..... would you really get this over a turbo s?

POST 3Original post

Wrong forum - we have no interest in this vehicle whatsoever! Your red C4S - now that IS exciting!

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes and no Yes on the grounds of re-sale and exclusivity No on Value for Money looks fab though, can not wait to hear it start up, is it loaded then usual? I would hope so!

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sounded very tame when he left! : Nooo:

POST 7Original post

Thanks for posting the pics, great rear view!!!

POST 8Original post

I've still not seen one in the flesh but the more pics I see of the Sport Classic the more I love it. Price = big no-no but it looks utterly fantastic, it's pretty much a Porsche you buy with your heart rather than with your head, and I don't think you could say that about many 911s in the last 20 years or so... :cloud9:

POST 9Original post

Buy a C4S + X51 + PSE and add Fuchs/Duck tail/Front Apron/Rear PU/SportsClassic exhaust tips. I have it in Rivi. Thanks. You won't get the brown woven (?) leather interior though. You won't get the dials. No double-bubble if you DIY. However, DIY = no six-figures either.

POST 11Original post

You could buy a C4S and spend £200k on it but it still won't be a Sport Classic and you know it. Face it, we're all suckers for whatever Porsche / Porsche GB try and sting us for, we just can't afford one...

POST 12Original post

Well if my next car isn't a GT3, it will be a SportClassic-alike. I promise I won't badge it up though  The looks will be 99% (except roof) and the performance will be the same (except 4WD drive train).

POST 13Original post

Mine will be an Aston V8 Vantage roadster. Even if it does drive like a tank. Each to their own...

POST 14Original post

Technically, my statement was incorrect. It should say "next Porsche". My "next car" may be an MB. PS - have you driven the V8 Vantage? PM anotherGT2 and uuf361 to save yourself the grief.

POST 15Original post

Oh, I know, I know - I've seen the posts on here, on Pistonheads and on numerous other forums, but to be honest I potter around in the 996 about 95% of the time and I figure I might as well do that in something that looks (and sounds) like the Vantage than anything else, it can't be that bad a drive. I don't do test-drives unless I'm actually seriously looking to buy - I'm quite impulsive (the missus will testify; she went on holiday once to a Golf GTI on the drive and returned to a bright yellow 350Z, never mind her shock when a brand new £2k piano turned up last year while I was out at work ), if I drove a Vantage this weekend it would be on the drive next week...
