Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Appreciate your advice; I have yr 2000 Carrera 2 (3.4) and drive it quite hard (I enjoy curves/cornering!). The front tyres seem to be lasting very well (1/2 worn in 10K miles) and are wearing very evenly across their sections however my rears last less than 8K and always show more wear on the inner shoulders. I know I can pay £100 for a geo check but is this sort of wear pattern normal? Thanks in anticipation

POST 2Original post

Sounds like you need a good geo. It can change especially if you have had any bush , suspension changes. Also geo might have been set up more for track with increased camber. Saying that I get 8-12,000 from a set of rears but the wear is pretty even

POST 3Original post

Sounds like geo is definatley the solution. I had similar tyre wear problems so got it done; near side wheels were miles out (no coincidence that the wear was on this side). The results were instant - the car had a more positive feel about it.
