Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Guys, ladies I need help. I have a 2009 Boxster S . I left the key in the ignition and came back to a dead battery. I obviously left something on such as the radio. Anyway the car is unlocked as it's in my garage. I can't open the frunk to get to the battery to give her a boost. I have a CTEK battery charger/maintainer however that doesn't seem to be charging the battery. Nothing comes on such as the radio or lights. I have the CTEK plugged for 3 or 4 days. I suspect given the battery is dead it can't pass the energy through to the battery. I'm still under warranty. Should I call Porsche for assistance or is there an easy way to unlock the frunk without damaging the car? Thank you for those who reply.

POST 2Original post

Which is it? You can open it or you cannot. Have you looked at your owners manual? There are posts on here as well.

I suggest before asking here and getting a bunch of "go search" and RTM, to search on Youtube. You aren't the first with a dead battery

POST 9Original post

My trickle charger wasn't working. I called Porsche assist. 40 minutes later a guy was at my door. 10 minutes later hood opened and charge to car. Nice to have the car out today. Hopefully soon I'll get to drive her once the MTO gets me my licence back. MTO took my licence away due to my bicycle vs. Dodge Ram accident. Anyway thank you Porsche assist for your help!
