Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

A few questions on Sports Chrono (SC) on a Sypder manual Can it be retrofitted (presumably without the wart)? Can anyone tell me the benefits of Sports Chrono on a manual Spyder? Does it allow an intermediate level of traction control? ie, without SC, there is on or off. Thanks in advance.

POST 2Original post

1: about £800 2: you get about 10% more slip angle to play with 3: throttle response is better :-)

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks David, I knew you'd know. I was going to drop you a PM. When you say 10% more slip angle, I assume you mean 10% more than if ESP is on, so it does give an intermediate level? Is it just a software upgrade and a new button?

POST 4Original post

yes more than every thing off, but not as much as PSM off, every thing normal and PSM is always flashing and is rubbish. but sport on and PSM off seems to give even more as PSM cuts back in to early even when off, but a bit later if sports on also if that makes sense ! yes you just get a new button, and new software. the throttle is perfect though in sports mode, it feels a bit dead out of sport imo. you need to try my car with it's upgrades it's amazing ;-) the manifolds have given it a new lease of life in the mid range and sound.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks. What manifolds have you gone for? Is the exhaust standard?

When I retrofitted Sport mode to my Cayman R I was quoted various prices from £580 up to £900, I kid you not. Swindon was the cheapest but Reading price matched them in the end. I specifically didn't spec it from new since I never liked the look of the wart in my 911 when I had it.

POST 9Original post

Just seen this post. With sports-chrono retro fitted (on a manual) do you get rev-matching on down shifts ?

Does it follow that can I have Sport Chrono retro fitted to my 2014 PDK Cayman S (with out the dash top carbuncle)?
