Suggestion

You can always remove them if you don't like them (they are rather pricey however...~$200 from Suncoast Porsche) but it's even easier to remove them if you have a PPF running on the car, that way you can just remove the PPF with the sticker on it.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

My 987.1 is painted in forest green metallic. I'm considering the door stripes with PORSCHE letters. Probably in silver. Is there anyone out there that has done this or with similar (dark) colors. I'd like to see pictures to see how it looks. I've mostly seen red, white, and silver. I think the decals provide a more sporty look, but also feel the dark green should be left alone.

POST 3Original post

I think the silver stripe - I did that on my basalt black 987.2 but purposely left off the section ahead of the front wheel on the bumper cover - I think that piece detracts aesthetically IMO. Gold stripe would be awesome but only with gold wheels (I will do that when I upgrade to 18in. from my base setup).

POST 4Original post

Gold stripes because tan interior. I just think that silver would clash. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

POST 5Original post

Leave it alone. That color is unique, why draw attraction away from a great colored car?

POST 8Original post

I bought a set of stripes for my Midnight Blue 987. Put one side on and just really wasn't loving it. Felt a bit cheap and tacky IMO. I really love the ' Spyder ' look, but for some reason it didn't translate very well to my car.

POST 9Original post

I love mine! Don't worry about color rarity or exclusiveness. Stripes have the ability to enhance the color or compliment it! I put black on my color and as you can see, I now have a dark grey/silver/black/red theme going on. So if you picked a nice accent stripe color it might even make the green pop more. You can always remove them if you don't like them (they are rather pricey however...~$200 from Suncoast Porsche) but it's even easier to remove them if you have a PPF running on the car, that way you can just remove the PPF with the sticker on it. Your call though.

POST 10Original post

.... love that rear ducktail spoiler............ quite possibly thee nicest Cayman i've seen in a while.............!!!! Have to say, i applied some silver stripes to my basalt black Boxster and removed them after doing just 1 side but as many have said, each to their own and it really does depend on the choice of colour , both the car and stripe.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
