Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Hi, Got this from another forum. I do not have the magazine, but this is what I read: From the latest Road and Track - 700 ft slalom Cayman S 71.7 mph F430 70.9 Ford GT 69.6 Z06 69.6 M6 69.5 M5 68.9 Aston Vantage 68.6 Sub WRX STI 68.2 Viper 67.8 Mazda Miata MX5 67.7 Pontiac Solstace 67.0 Ferrrari 612 66.0 Charger SRT8 64.1 Pontiac GTO 62.9 This should make you folks happy. Especially autox ehthusiasts... I hope. CP

POST 2Original post

CP - did they describe the Cayman S setup (PASM, etc?) Bruce

POST 3Original post

Thats definetly something us cayman nuts can brag about. I wonder where the 997 would land on that chart Edited by - BlackBullet_S on 01/11/2006 10:16:31 PM

POST 4Original post

RedEye, I didn't read the whole article. Even if that's with PASM, and sports chrono, the standard Cayman S can't be too may seconds behind. Hope someone has the magazine and can chime in. CP

POST 5Original post

I found the R&T article at the doctors office this afternoon. The test car had PASM, PCCB, Sport Chrono, and PCM. It didn't say which mode PASM was in during the slalom but the speed was mentioned in the same paragraph as PASM. BlackBullet, the 997 did 71.7. However, the Boxster S did 73.9! The best of all the cars listed in the Road Test Summary! The test Cayman was on 18" Pilot Sport (No PS2). The 997 and the Boxster S were both tested in March 2005. I don't understand how the Boxster speed is faster. Ruby
