Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am most probably going to get a 996 soon and have started bench racing and have been comparing chips with their pricing. What chip gives the most output on crappy US gas, aka 91 at best? I have read the posts as well as looked up upsolutes figures, and fvd. Upsolute is really cheap and puts the numbers to the current spec almost exactly. Are there better programs? I noted the fvd says 20hp but they don't have a graph, nor state torque. Please give me some advice for a data point as to best product, i.e. drivability and output plus price. thanks.

POST 2Original post

Call Steve at RennsportSystem, he can reprogram your ECU through Flash Eprom and give you around 20HP gain and more torque between 4000-5900 RPM. He's very knowledgeble, go check out his website http://www.rennsportsystems.com/~porsche/1.html

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yeah it posts about the same as upsolute ala 18hp v. 20 hp. I am curious as to the torque. I would like to know what increases the torque the most by manufacturer of a chip running 91 here in the us. thanks though.

POST 4Original post

If you believe that-don't let them sell you a bridge. Even the factory power kit-heads cams etc., would be lucky to give you that.
