Suggestion

Now i realize the Ferodos are not going to cut it for someone who's at the track setting top laptimes, but if you want to get into HPDE's you can get this kit from them and destroy the pads/rotors and get new ones every couple track days for free.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Looking for experience and or suggestions for routine maintenance parts. No grossly over priced OEM parts. Used Suncoast in the past, okay prices but they don't have everything I need. I found AutohausAZ.com and they have everything for the Macan + some R bits for $936, 16 items. Doing a major service on the Macan Turbo and some minor stuff on the Cayman R. List: Macan - PDK fluid & filters, brake pads & rotors, plugs, both air filters, & dif & engine oil R - engine oil and air filter

POST 3Original post

rmeuropean.com has great prices on oil filters and the like,

POST 4Original post

l'm another long time Pelican Parts customer. Always great service and competitive prices.

POST 5Original post

fcpeuro.com - free replacements on everything you buy, even if you track your car.

POST 6Original post

agree 100% on FCPeuro the lifetime free replacements is real and not a marketing gimmick. if you buy from them and it needs to be replaced you get a new one for free. Pelican is also very good and has everything you need.

POST 7Original post

As a couple others have stated, Pelican. I always price around and for most items they are usually the best price. Always get my Mobil 1 at Wally World, the cheapest by far.

POST 8Original post

I had heard about them, it sounded to good to be true, even things like rotors and brake pads?

POST 9Original post

FYI shopped the parts list on: FCPeuro Pelican AutohausAZ Same brands and AutohausAZ was the winner over the others by ~$150. & were faster and cheaper on shipping. BTW, I asked for a new customer discount and they said no becase they know thier prices are better.

POST 11Original post

Yep, for example FCP Euro has a brake upgrade kit for 981 S, it's $1,330 comes with Sebro slotted rotors, Ferodo DS2500 pads, Goodridge stainless steel lines, new retaining clips, and Motul 600 fluid. Now i realize the Ferodos are not going to cut it for someone who's at the track setting top laptimes, but if you want to get into HPDE's you can get this kit from them and destroy the pads/rotors and get new ones every couple track days for free. As mentioned above you can also drain the brake fluid and put fresh fluid in with only having to pay shipping costs. This option can dramatically reduce the cost of doing track days and allow you to get more seat time by spending that money on sessions instead of parts. It really is a great deal and you're likely to do the work yourself so swapping the worn out parts into the packages from the new ones and shipping back is actually a pretty easy process.

POST 12Original post

since I also own a few BMW, so I usually use the following, compared prices a few times is all pretty similar, OEM parts are cheaper sometimes from ECStuning Pelican ECStuning AutohausAZ my friend told me to try FCP, so I'll do that next big order

POST 13Original post

Am I the only one who thinks it would be fundamentally wrong to leverage FCP's lifetime replacement warranty for consumables that have lived out their normal service life? Look, their prices are fair, their service and reviews are great, their shipping us usually free and quick (even when you choose the slow option, as I always do). I'll gladly support a company like that with my cash. To send them back a set of brake pads after burning through them at the track feels amoral to me. And I'm a cheap SOB who does track days! If you want to ride, you've gotta pay the prostitute.

POST 14Original post

They go out of their way to specifically point out that those consumables are also included in their exchange program on the website, so its not as if people are somehow taking advantage of a "loophole" in their exchange program. They wouldn't allow it if it was detrimental to their business model, and bottom line is this all works because they know the majority of people aren't going to bother to do it, and those that do keep a steady stream of revenue coming their way. They have been doing this successfully for years and you can bet the rules would change if it was truly detrimental to their business. Do you feel bad using coupons for any purchases, or would you refuse all dealer discounts on a car? After all, if you want to play you gotta pay
