The car hadn't been used for a little while and so I guess that this error must be linked to the central locking energy saving mode that these cars seem to go into if left for a week without being used.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

When I unlock the doors on my 986 the bonnet solenoid always unlocks also. It also happens when I unlock the boot. Everything locks at the same time as it should. Has anybody experienced this before and know what the solution is please?

POST 2Original post

Have a look & feel under the passenger seat & see if it is wet. The body control module lives there & blocked drains flood the area. Otherwise it needs investigating by someone with a scanner to find out what is going on.

update ..... it fixed itself the next day. The car hadn't been used for a little while and so I guess that this error must be linked to the central locking energy saving mode that these cars seem to go into if left for a week without being used. Once I started using the car again it reset itself to normal.
