Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is it normal for the steering wheel adjustment (in and out) to be stiff? Is there a lubrication point? Thanks in advance for any replies

POST 2Original post

Mine is kind of stiff too when telescoping. Are they all like that? Can't say. You might have luck using a dry graphite lubricant. I wouldn't try any oil or grease there. Just my $0.02 worth.

POST 3Original post

Yeah, mine takes a fair amount of pressure to move as well. Don't know if it's normal or not or how to properly lubricate it.

POST 4Original post

The telescoping on mine is also a bit stiff, though it seems to work best when the wheel is not locked.
