Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Received a postcard yesterday from my local Porsche dealer (Champion) offering FREE Oil service in the month August. Sounds too good to be true - since I imagine many other custmers received the same offer. They specify PENNZOIL oil in the offer - is this the catch? I thought Mobil 1 was the OEM choice.

POST 2Original post

Ultra SAE 5W-40 is the closest pennzoil to oem 0-40 ....go for it. I would.

POST 3Original post

I wonder if it messes with the warranty since you're not using Mobile1. Funny, my car came from Champion Porsche in Florida.

POST 4Original post

Mobil 1 pays for the little decal to be on the car. There are a lot of approved oils for Porsches.

POST 5Original post

Technically, not in the USA, if you are using an approved weight and comparable specifications. In reality, the dealer can give you a difficult time about anything they please, and it's up to you to appeal.
