after that, i told myself i would never steer away from OEM unless it was for a true track car and then i'd just change the entire braking system.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Well, my brake pad warning light is starting to show up on harder stops. So, looking for advice on some brake pads. I actually like the OEM's, except for the dust part. I do not track my car (not yet at least). So, I've read recommendations on Pagids or EBC, but possible squealing issues. What do you guys think? Stick with OEM and just keep cleaning my wheels every week. Try out some of the aftermarket more dust free pads but live with the squeal. Thanks

POST 2Original post

i've never had EBC pads in my CS, but i've had the EBC Green Stuff pads in my Accord before, and it took forever to bed them in. They were making noise for a while. it seemed to be a common problem too as i've read reviews of people having the same noise issues i was having. i never had these issues when i replace my brake pads w/ OEM. after that, i told myself i would never steer away from OEM unless it was for a true track car and then i'd just change the entire braking system.

POST 3Original post

I use OEM for the street and Pagid yellow in front and Pagid black in rear for track with stock suspension. I have not had any noise issues with the OEm pads.

POST 4Original post

In your case I'd stick with OEM pads as they have good stopping power and are generally quiet, and even if you go to the track they will be sufficient for you starting out. If you're looking for more stopping power, but with a chance of noise then go with Pagid Yellows. Personally I don't like EBC except for greens on low powered cars, other than I had bad issues with discs and pads from them.....and wanted to like them because they're a British company, but couldn't.

POST 5Original post

Thanks for the replies. Looks like OEM's are the ones I should stick with.

POST 6Original post

How many mile on your pads? Mine are worn out too. They lasted 34K miles. I'll be sticking with OEM(Textar), and an OEM Rotor supplier.

POST 7Original post

I only have 26K on mine. It's my daily driver and crazy traffic during commutes. Just placed an order through Suncoast for pads. Not replacing the rotors yet. hmmmm... didn't even think about going directly with Textar.
