I found there are used units available on eBay and my PCM and Navigation hardware were delivered last week.

Hey, I have a 2008 porsche without navigation. Would it be possible to purchase one and put it in my porsche? Are there any good aftermarket ones that aren't flip out GPS units? I would also want sirrius/XM... let me know thanks, Josh

Josh; I have a 2006 Boxster Base Model I purchased in late January this year. I have the same problem as my car came with CDR-24 with Bose Sound. As Dan says, there are excellent articles on this site for both PCM replacement as well as Navigation installation. PCM 2.1 Install (CDR-24 Radio Removal) - Articles covers the PCM 2.1 replacement. PCM Navigation Installation - Articles covers the Navigation installation. I got a quote from my local dealer for these at $6,900 and the ears popped for a mile around as I gasped. I found there are used units available on eBay and my PCM and Navigation hardware were delivered last week. Both look pristine. I purchased a bracket that mounts over the Bose unit in the front trunk which will hold the MOST interface to Bluetooth and iPhone/media. With the parts list "E_987_KATALOG" and manual "987_987C0506Workshop" I obtained from on-line sources. The information is in there if you learn how to use the documents.
