Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

Or you may want to consider some H&R springs that lower the car 30mm and are supposed to work with the stock shocks...And then there is that new adjustable Bilstein coilover set (PSS-9).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You've seen my 02 C4 Cab. I want to lower it. I do not track it. I just want it to look cooler than it is now. I understand there are new suspension packages out. Given the parameters I've just mentioned what would you guys recommend. IOW, I want the lowered look w/o sacrificing too much ride. I understand lowering a C4 is a lot more complicated than a C2 w/reference to re-alignment. So put your heads together and give me some advice. TIA

POST 2Original post

Don, Does your car already have the US M030 Sport Suspension? If so, the logic step would be the RoW M030 that is 20 mm lower in front and 10 mm lower in the rear. In the Pano suspension article I think they said this handled and rode better than the US M030. p.s. must be an old photo... I don't see the TT front bumper or Silver crests on the wheels

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes, it's an old picture. Reminds me, I should update it..only have to back it out of the garage. The suspension is stock C4..whatever the factory provided for that year.

POST 4Original post

Don, how about just adding a set of Std Euro/RoW springs (non M030). I think it will lower the car about 10mm. Or you may want to consider some H&R springs that lower the car 30mm and are supposed to work with the stock shocks...And then there is that new adjustable Bilstein coilover set (PSS-9).

POST 5Original post

I don't know if he's still lurking here, but a guy went from a ferrari to a C4S with H&R springs and stock shocks. It noticeably lowered the car, reportedly without ride compromise. He has since sold the car, I think. IMHO, if all you're looking for is looks, the 10 mm difference is not visually perceptible. Here's an ROW C4S with the std ROW 030: Here's my US C4S with std US 030: Both pics were taken when the cars were relatively same age (several months). I think your best bet would be the shortened H&R springs while retaining stock shocks. Should lower it 30 mm, and be visually apparent, with no ride compromise. May not work well on the track, but then you don't track it. BTW, I already think your cab is COOL!!!!!

POST 6Original post

Don: Get the Bilstein PSS-9 coil overs. You'll do it once and be done. Set the shocks on the softest setting and lower the car to your exact requirements and corner balance. You'll have the best of all worlds with maximum flexibility for future changes, if so desired. That's my two cents, FWIW.
