Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My C4S has a full carbon fibre interior trim installed. When I collected the car a year ago there was one piece of dash trim missing. I've been trying to source a replacement. Anyone know where I can get the piece under the screen from? I even tried my local OPC but they didn't know.

POST 2Original post

Sorry can't help you but if you don't have any luck in finding a piece you could just get a standard part from a breakers and get it carbon dipped. It might not match 100% but it will be close.

POST 3Original post

Try asking DB Carbon? http://www.dbcarbon.com/

POST 5Original post

Got to love Gert's comedy pricing :floor: You can buy that from DB Carbon for a fraction of the price.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, tried them. They only do the US spec, which the screen trim differs. Looking through their website makes me want more carbon....

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How much Thanks for the link, again the US spec differs from Euro. I might have to go the dipping route.

POST 8Original post

I expect the Porsche price for the bits is pretty high. I had them in a C4S and they looked good. Retrofit was crazy from what I recall.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My OPC couldn't even find me the part number for this. Might try another dealer.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guy's hunt now over. I think I've sourced one from here: https://directcartrim.com/1999-2004-porsche-996-real-carbon-fiber-2pc-upper-defrost-trim-set.html Maybe useful for others, trim parts seems well priced.

POST 11Original post

Thats where I got mine from. Quality is great, but customs held mine up and sent a request for £35 to get them into the country. Hope you have got yours through by now. very easy to fit and are excellent copy of original! Reagrds Glenn
