I used Scott blue towels to get the belt as dry as possible.
Leading evidence: 'Use scott blue towels' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Then I used the silicone spray on about 1/3 rd of the seat belt (the bottom end that retracts in).

I knew this already as I use the spray all the time on the rear window of my Ford F250.

I like the cleaning ideal though - I may try that.

Suggestion
There is normal wear and tear and the clear bra would be better replaced with some of the newer technology.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I steamed the seat belt for about 20 minutes and I think that did the trick.
my driver side seat belt is slow to retract and needs some feeding. anyone have a fix besides replacement? dealer suggested soapy water. i wonder if it's a lubricant issue or spring.
I'm selling Moneypenny.
6 speed, 23,300 miles. Price dropped to $49,000.00. Very well cared for ( I hand wash it using the AMMO NY method ) and upgraded. Just had a professional detail job inside and out. Installed wheel spacers, H&R lowering Springs, custom hand-fabricated aluminum air intake (larger and smoother ID than the original ugly rubber "snorkle" more air, more power), professionally painted over all exterior chrome (front grill, side grill slits, window trim) and rims with Titanium Gunmetal (even the custom air intake). Car was tuned by Fastlane in December of 2013 to get every bit of power out of the engine. This car drives and handles superbly. The blue/ saddle leather interior still has the most pleasant new-car aroma. Bluetooth, Aston Premium sound system, driver and passenger adjustable power seats with adjustable lumbar control, heated seats, auto climate control, red caliper Aston brakes (made by Brembo). New rotors and Carbotech brakes May 2014. Partial clear bra on the hood, mirrors and front of car. I purchase nice cars to drive for a few months and then sell them. This car has been with me for 22 months now as it is very difficult for me to part with. I only drive it twice a month and when the wife wants to go out in town; hence the low miles: I only put about 4,200 miles in 18 months. Due to failing state inspection, I just had the dealer replace one O2 sensor, the catalytic convertor and the re-called seat heater unit. No issues with this car. I am the 4th owner. Previous owners were in Florida, North Texas and Arizona. I have not titled the car since I have Dealer Plates on it; original title in hand. There is normal wear and tear and the clear bra would be better replaced with some of the newer technology.
Platinum Warranty (A) from LaSalle Warranty Group until September 25, 2015.

Wow what a great Vantage! it is not good for the rest of us 2007 owners, that you are asking under $50,000 for it. I hope you can find your car a good home.

gorgeous car that i had been eyeing ever since you listed it on ebay (and autotrader i think?) a little while back. if i can move my car soon you'll definitely be hearing from me.

Just to update, the silicone spray worked.
I took a new tooth brush and water with a splash of soap and scrubbed the entire seat belt. It was really dirty. The black plastic eye loop at the top seemed to have worn its top coating onto the aging belt. I used Scott blue towels to get the belt as dry as possible.
Then I used the silicone spray on about 1/3 rd of the seat belt (the bottom end that retracts in). The seat belt soaked it up like crazy. I retracted the belt multiple times. The only drawback is the odor the spray gives. I knew this already as I use the spray all the time on the rear window of my Ford F250.
After two days I sprayed (soaked) the seat belt in febreeze (max strength), wiped it down with Scott blue towels, and the smell is almost gone. I will do another round of febreeze this week and I think I will have saved half a grand. Total time less than one hour.

Liquid Wrench brand silicone spray. I know there are others but that was the only one I could find when looking to fix my truck a few months ago (so I had it on hand already).
It is a strong odor (like WD40 but stronger) especially in the Texas heat so keep that in mind. The frebreeze is neutralizing it though.
Burtonrider, I don't have the printout, but it was 13 HP at the wheel and 10 lbs of torque. This was prior to the custom air intake being built and installed. I haven't put it on the dyno since.
Ok, just to follow up...
The second round of frebreeze did not neutralize the silicone spray odor enough for me so I was thinking of ordering a steam cleaner like the Wagner 915 or something. (about $100 and I can use it for many other things). Then I remembered I had a cheap hand held steamer I haven't used in years for clothes.
I steamed the seat belt for about 20 minutes and I think that did the trick.
