Cross checked the standard spec for the new order against original order and there was nothing different other than an extra £1060 for the privilage of having the original order cancelled

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

In my opinion i think the choice of colours available are all s t! White and gold wheels, black and gold wheels, silver and gold wheels. Non of them combinations work? Who has gold wheels for god sake in 2021?

POST 8Original post

I've gone silver with the red interior, needs the link to the original concept in my opinion. I personally love the wheels, one of the reasons for going for a 25 over a standard GTS. Roll on September!

POST 9Original post

I've gone Silver/Black with a red roof and red seatbelts. Still don't have a build date but decided I'm not going to think too much about it anymore and focus on more important stuff, life's too short to worry about another car.

Another August build here after my original May build was cancelled

POST 14Original post

I’m definitely doing Silver, but beyond that I’m still vacillating. I started by cutting out all traces of the red, so black interior, black roof, which kind of complements the black windscreen surround, black callipers. Then decided I like the red roof still with the black interior, maybe throw in red belts and/or instruments. Recently, some of the latest images I have seen, the red looks much less bright than initially. Also, I saw a Cayenne with the red interior. But I still think it’s too much. I wish the top of the dash and steering wheel were black - I could live with that. You could change the steering wheel at about £1k. I think the launch spec will probably hold its value best, although I’m not convinced that any spec is going to be an investment. I guess just slower depreciation than a vanilla GTS. The only silver lining about not having my build dates yet is that I might get a chance to see one in the uk in the flesh before lockdown of my spec. I have my driving experience invite through now, and I heard from my SA that Silverstone and Swindon (and other key, ‘close to Porsche uk’) dealers are the ones that have had their build dates - so I might see one there.

POST 15Original post

I did pop in to my OPC last week to do a comparison of GT Silver and Carrera White as we weren't sure between the 2 and that definitely confirmed GT Silver as our choice out of the 3 available colours. I had a Black 987 Boxster for 8 years and while I loved it when it was clean it never staid clean for very long and don't want to go there again. As far as our order goes it was re-confirmed we've got a slot but no commission number as yet and no solid views on when that might happen. I have my PEC invite for the 25 Edition (although the invite is for a GTS) which we've booked for early August and I'm also taking that as a positive step towards getting the car. And if it doesn't happen we'll enjoy the free breakfast, lunch and some laughs on the course. I think the combination of Covid, Con-rod issues and shortage of microchips has thrown a bit of a grenade into the Porsche production planning machine and its probably taking some time to work out what they can and can't do and then aligning that to all the orders waiting to be processed. The only glimmer of hope for us is that it's called the 25 Edition so I'm sure they will want to deliver them this year or end up having to order a crate of new badges, sill covers and dash trims

I have to say,my wife had a GTS a few years ago, then i got her a 650 maclaren, round the twisty roads where we live in essex, there wasnt a lot of noticeable diffrence in the two handling wise. What i mean is the maclaren was 4 times the price of the GTS,but didnt feel like 4 times better.

Voodoo Blue said: Congratulations, I was wondering when (if) we would start to see these out in the wild and it's good to see that is now happening. The colours look a bit more subdued compared to the launch material but I guess that might be the light. Having said that I'm also glad I've not gone for the red interior but as they say each to their own. Its interesting to hear your thoughts on handling, I think a lot of people see this as a marketing exercise rather than a GTS in drag especially with the red interior I know what you mean with regard to the stickers badges, retro colours on some parts etc. I see that EVO have just done a test on the stock GTS PDK and given it 5 Stars, this 25th has a lower PASM option. Had a good drive back to back with my speedster this Morning, I know this is all subjective and we all like different things along with that the 500bhp engine in the speedster with its ITBs and MT is something very special, but from a handling fun to drive point across fast twisty B roads that I know well, my preference would be for the Boxster 25th no question, it feels so sharp, planted and agile. Congratulations, you must be one of the first to have one in the country. Best regards

Now people have a 25 it will be interesting to see how much the flipped cars command. The spyder is still way over list even for 19 reg cars with 5 and 6K 2 owner cars. I love the red interior but should have the option of black dash and steering wheel. Edited by cotswoldclio on Wednesday 19th May 12:58

Don't worry about the resale colour guys in executive new build Barratt boxes. Enjoy. Looks great, love the combo. I think the silver / red combo will be the desired option in years to come, if looking at it from the value aspect. Taking away values, it would be my pick anyway. Though there is no ‘wrong’ combo. If it’s your money and you like it then who cares about others feelings towards it. I don’t think the 25 will do anything silly price wise but it will certainly retain higher value over a GTS I feel.

And that price increases the premium of 25 over the GTS. The % increase was roughly the same, but the GTS 2022 models get the parking sensors in the std price offsetting the increase. Nothing similar on the 25.

This 4.0 engine was crying out for the PDK box, don't get me wrong I get the point about the interaction that the MT gives, but IMO, its just to long geared. However the 2022 GTS gets them as standard with the camera also at £464. You’d think they would have thrown the camera in or something on the 25, but no. Also, on the 2021 25 spec sheet, there was the shortened gear-lever on MT. However, that now seems to have disappeared on 2022. Will be interesting to see when someone gets hold of one in the flesh whether that’s an omission or deliberate change.

Anybody there? Thanks, there is hope if what I was told this morning is accurate It would seem that the factory will be restarting 718 production in the next few weeks as they now have a supply of components to allow them to fulfil current orders to a point. I wonder if those components are the chips for the memory seats which I've read elsewhere are in short supply and of course the B25 has 14 way seats as standard My car has a current build start in late August with anticipated delivery in mid to late September so that seems to line up with the dates quoted by the others above. The expectation is that there will be another batch built towards the end of the year so if you've been told your OPC has an allocation and you've got the slot you should be ok. Hopefully the above will mean you'll get some good news soon. Edited by Voodoo Blue on Sunday 6th June 16:31

Happy New Year B25 lovers. I hope you’ve been suitably exercising your cars over the festive break. I have now done over 500 miles, so over a quarter of the way to the full beans! I thought some of you may be interested in these cutaway images. Those of you on Rennlist may already have seen them. Basically this guy over in the US has taken the core images from Porsche and with some hard work on Photoshop has produced an adaptive configuration to match your car (so, colour, wheels, gearbox, seats, etc.) You send off your Porsche code and he adapts the image to match your car. I did this and am pretty chuffed. I am going to get it framed and up on the wall in the garage. You can also get that images for engine, gearbox etc that Porsche produce. If you’re interested, here’s the URL for the thread. You PM Randy and he sorts it out for you. I've just past 2200 miles in mine and starting to explore its full capabilities. I thought the base 2.0 I had was pretty good but this one is on another level so based on that alone there's no way I'm selling regardless of values. The bonus is that it's the only Porsche I've had that has prompted positive comments from random people at petrol stations and car parks, apart from the current Macan but that's usually about the colour (Voodoo Blue), so it's a happy car too - my happy car

So the other half picked her 25 up this week and really doesnt like the look of the wheels (i have to agree to be honest) now i know they are a nod to the original design but i think im going to get another set to put on it. My question is will a set off GTS wheels fit it? Im thinking they should but just want to make sure before i get another set painted gold. Edited by Boo12345 on Sunday 10th April 22:57
