Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I have my Garmin Nuvi 880 installed on the Proclip but do not know the best way to hardwire it in the fusebox. How did you route your wires from your Garmin/ProClip into the fuse box? I currently have the wire wrapped behind the Proclip and into the crease next to the center console and down to where your right knee would be while sitting. But then I have the wire go under the drivers mat (you can feel it under there) and then into the fuse box. This doesn't seem like the cleanest way to do it. I plan on tapping the Garmin into the same fuse that my V1 (rear wiper ignition on fuse) is hardwired to, will I have any problems?

POST 2Original post

I simply ran the wires into the centre console and plug it into the accessory socket when required.

POST 3Original post

sammy if you'll post a picture, I'd be happy to give you a response... i'm not really sure where the proclip goes. I have my Nuvi to the left of the steering wheel on the friction mount. The trick is really to get the wire behind the center console, easiest way is usually through the tray under the hvac controls... from there it's easy to route the wire behind the dash into the fuse box.

POST 4Original post

suneet, I have the same setup as Santa Fe. The wire does get kind of messy since the plug is on the right side of the Garmin mount.
