would it matter if a set off a lhd car was fitted to a rhd car, or is it just a alignment issue, and are they capable of being aligned ??

Although each have a mechanical "touring" setting for when you are driving on the opposite side, it only cuts off the 'flick up' on the nearside.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

do you get different litronic units for left hand or right hand drive 911(996)'s ? would it matter if a set off a lhd car was fitted to a rhd car, or is it just a alignment issue, and are they capable of being aligned ?? thanks

POST 2Original post

Yes - they are different units for left and right hand drive. Although each have a mechanical "touring" setting for when you are driving on the opposite side, it only cuts off the 'flick up' on the nearside.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So even if I get offered a set at knock down prices, its simply not worth it is it, as I wont get the correct beam or pass a mot

POST 4Original post

Just not worth it IMO. It wouldn't illuminate the kerb and road signs properly if you fitted LHD lights. If you don't want a big expense, have you though about fitting an HID kit? I found it a big improvement on my C2.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just fitted yesterday a HID kit 6000k one, looks good, illuminates the road well, only reason I wanted litronic is for the projector style beam set up.. but if these LHD are no good Ill pass on them..
