Has anybody managed to get an IPOD integrated into CDR24 ( no FM Modulator - the sound quaility is not good enough ). What parts do I need and can the IPOD be selected through the CDR24 etc. be seen on the dash ( I have a 6 CD player in the boot ! ) I just find it a bit confusing as to what will work or not ? The Gateway 500 will work with the CDR24 and give you CD quality. Try a search, there should be plenty of threads on the subject.

I have integrated IPOD with a Kenwood KOS-A200. This does make use of a hardwired antenna interrupt circuit to feed the CDR24. Although it is FM Modulator, the sound quality is absolutly as good as the CD of the CDR24 itself. It includes RDS capability (the album / audio track information is displayed on the CDR24 and the dashboard computer LCD). Kenwood makes use of a programmable filter to exclude antenna input from the FM channel selected for feed to the CDR24. Generally I am very happy with the solution. The only downside is that you must make use of the included IR remote control to control the KOS-A200. Sound quality is not an issue with this solution however. timbucthree
