Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I have heard that, old porsche brake discs can be used as spacers get a local workshop to cut off the disc/hub and the face plate can be used a spacer.
Leading evidence: 'Use spacer' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check clearance' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

most people fit 7mm+15mm, just measure from the tyre edge to the inside of your arch to check clearance

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have heard that, old porsche brake discs can be used as spacers get a local workshop to cut off the disc/hub and the face plate can be used a spacer. Haven't tried it myself but have heard of an indy who has done this successfully. Seems a useful way to recycle a lump of metal that would other wise go in the bin, assuming it works
thats a good price :thumb:
Doubt you will find cheaper, usually 7mm shims are £30 then £6 per extended bolt and the 15mm hubcentrics with bolts are £100+
most people fit 7mm+15mm, just measure from the tyre edge to the inside of your arch to check clearance
What year is your car and what size wheels/tyres you running?
I just happen to have a picture that might help, this was taken with:
8" fronts running 225/40/18s and 5mm spacers (Net ET 47, Standard ET 52)
10" rears running 285/30/18s and 15mm spacers (Net ET 50, Standard ET65)
The 5mm spacers are factory but I bought the bolts and rear spacers from design911.
The fronts could come out a little more but not a huge amount.

Thanks, visually it makes a big difference and with a wider track the stability is better too.
Only did a visual against OEM, I never actually measured them, but as I understand it standard bolts then there are the +7mm extended bolts that will go with 5-7mm spacers (typical front fitment) and there are +18mm extra long to accomodate 15-18mm spacers (typical rear fitment)
My new wheels with different offsets are coming soon and I'll have to work it all out again!
