Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I think I will order a pair of those Forges also and get them fitted later this week.

While I'm at it - which are the best uprated dump valves to use - these perhaps?:
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Are they worth it at all? Most cars I've owned I have automatically bought either an uprated filter or an induction kit - but none of those were Porsches. I don't want to confuse the DMS remap or adversely affect anything.
After reading some old threads here I understand that the Pipercross is the one to go for - not so oily so less chance of fracking up the MAF? Can anyone with a TT confirm or deny?
Helped fit a Piper X in my good ladies X50 TT, only done about 1k miles since install but no CEL's and seems fine.
No quantifiable data to show if it improved power, however it's got a louder roar under heavy acceleration, much better than the stock sound, but only so much as to not be annoyingly loud.
Few tips I picked up wick off the filter in kitchen towel before installing, we wrapped the panel filter up and left over night very little oil was wicked off but some was present.
Remove the whole air box, it makes fitting a doddle.
I took pictures of the whole fitting process and can put them up on the net if you need a visual guide.
That would be really helpful. Thanks mate.

I've always used Forge before on other cars.
Also, if I want a set of uprated hoses how are these?:

Seem a little pricey?
I will get the pictures uploaded.
I have not really looked into other upgrades at all, however from my reading I think the Forge DVs are a must if you are looking to improve performance.
For other info, have a peep at the link I sent in PM
Very interesting link. Can't find any advice about Pipercross filters though as they don't seem to have them stateside. They pretty much agree that the BMC is better than the K&N but say neither is much better than OEM. How about the Piper version anyone?
Hi,Done some research myself and went for the pipercross.
Alot if specialists say pipercross is the one to go for and have it fitted in their cars.
That's good enough for me.
I am also looking into diverter valves forge are good and you know from previous cars they work.
Let me know what you come up with.
Tuning for me has stopped at the moment as both turbos require total overhaul.
OK, I have ordered a Piper panel filter. It's cool that those ones are the least expensive too. I intend to soak it for two minutes in soapy water to remove some of the oily coating and let it dry before fitting. If that's wrong, someone please tell me! I think I will order a pair of those Forges also and get them fitted later this week. How exciting
